I’m Gideon Lichfield, and I covered Israeli and Palestinian affairs for The Economist from 2005 until July 2008. I’m now taking a sabbatical before moving to The Economist’s New York office in early 2009. Before coming to Jeusalem I was in Moscow and Mexico City.
